ENTRY GATE
Do not plan 90 days around assumptions you have not defined
This module connects the work from Modules 01–07. If any input is missing, return to the relevant module instead of filling the plan with generic targets.
- One specific audience, recurring problem and decision validated with more than one evidence type.
- One primary offer plus at least one credible commercial or non-affiliate alternative.
- Current approval status, payable event, attribution, validation, traffic permission and payout conditions.
- A disclosure and claim-evidence process suitable for the target market and channel.
- A realistic weekly time budget, cash budget, current skills and product-access limits.
- A measurable conversion path from audience exposure to approved and ultimately paid commission.
Organic discovery may take longer, and a small audience may not create enough conversions for statistical confidence. The objective is to test the strategy's hardest assumptions at controlled cost.
ONE-PAGE STRATEGY
Write the operating choice in one sentence
Example: “For first-time service businesses choosing affordable website infrastructure, we will use an English educational website to publish tested setup guides and transparent comparisons, recommend one best-fit host plus credible alternatives, measure qualified outbound clicks and approved sales, and invest eight focused hours and €50 per week for 90 days.”
| Decision | Required answer | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Audience | Who is included, excluded and what triggers the decision? | Interview, query, community or customer evidence. |
| Value | What uncertainty will your content reduce better than existing results? | Content-gap and original-evidence inventory. |
| Distribution | Where can the audience be reached repeatedly and legally? | Channel demand, access, format and rule fit. |
| Monetization | Which offers serve the decision without controlling the editorial answer? | Offer scorecards, terms and customer-value audit. |
| Measurement | Which observable event proves progress at each funnel stage? | Tracking specification and test evidence. |
| Constraint | What will you deliberately not do during this cycle? | Written exclusions, budget and stop rules. |
CONSTRAINTS BEFORE GOALS
Plan from available capacity, not imagined motivation
Time
Count focused hours that can survive work, family and recovery. Exclude time that exists only on an ideal week.
Cash
Separate tools, product access, contractors and traffic. Set a total loss limit before spending begins.
Skill
Identify the production bottleneck: research, English, writing, video, design, analytics, outreach or technical setup.
Access
List products, data, experts, screenshots, customer conversations and locations you can genuinely access.
Rules
Record channel restrictions, geography, disclosure, claims, privacy and advertiser approvals as non-negotiable boundaries.
Cash cycle
Allow for pending validation, reversals, thresholds and payout delay. Approved revenue is not cash in the bank.
Choose one dominant bottleneck for the first cycle. Improving ten weak capabilities at once makes it impossible to know which change produced the outcome.
PRIMARY CHANNEL SELECTION
Earn competence in one channel before multiplying complexity
| Criterion | Maximum | Strong evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Audience presence and intent | 20 | The defined audience already uses the channel for the target decision. |
| Format-to-decision fit | 15 | The channel can demonstrate, compare or explain what the decision requires. |
| Current access and competence | 15 | You can publish credibly without a long prerequisite project. |
| Program and policy fit | 15 | The real traffic method and link flow are explicitly permitted. |
| Measurement quality | 10 | Exposure, visit, click and conversion can be connected with acceptable gaps. |
| Production sustainability | 10 | The weekly format fits available hours for the full 90 days. |
| Compounding and reuse | 10 | Assets can remain useful, be updated or support later formats. |
| Platform concentration risk | 5 | Audience access or reusable assets survive a single account disruption. |
Score website/SEO, YouTube, short-form social, email, communities, client referrals or paid traffic against the same evidence. Select the highest defensible score, not the most fashionable channel. Use one secondary channel only to distribute or repurpose the primary asset — not as a second full production system.
OFFER PORTFOLIO
Assign editorial roles before links are placed
| Role | Purpose | Control |
|---|---|---|
| Primary offer | Best-supported match for the defined audience and use case. | Must pass Module 06 gates; monitor product, funnel, terms and approved economics. |
| Use-case alternative | Better option for a different budget, skill level, location or requirement. | Explain exactly when it wins instead of treating it as a backup CTA. |
| Non-affiliate alternative | Protects editorial completeness where the best answer does not pay. | Apply the same evidence standard and do not hide it. |
| Excluded offer | Documents a popular option that failed a fatal gate or fit test. | State verifiable reasons without unsupported accusations. |
For the first cycle, one primary and one or two real alternatives are enough. A large link inventory increases maintenance and compliance cost before it proves additional reader value.
DECISION JOURNEY
Connect each asset to the next uncertainty
Discover
The audience recognizes the problem. Create a focused explanation, diagnostic or short answer.
Understand
The person learns options, terminology, costs and failure cases through a foundational guide.
Evaluate
A comparison, review or use-case page supplies original criteria, evidence, limitations and alternatives.
Act
A transparent CTA hands the reader to the correct product page, demo, trial or signup with expectations intact.
Succeed
Implementation and troubleshooting content helps the customer reach value and reduces poor-fit referrals.
Return
Updates, adjacent decisions and email value create a relationship beyond a single transaction.
Map one primary asset at each relevant stage. Do not create pages merely to occupy the funnel. Every asset needs one audience question, one next action and one accountable update owner.
CAPACITY & CAPITAL
Build a plan that still works on an ordinary week
If you have eight hours, assume only six are reliably productive, and a researched guide takes six hours, the sustainable plan is one guide — not three. Research, product testing, editing, disclosure, upload, internal linking and updating all count.
| Budget line | Examples | Control |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed operations | Hosting, domain, essential software and accounting. | Monthly cap and cancellation owner. |
| Evidence production | Product access, test account, expert review, original media. | Prioritize evidence that improves several assets. |
| Distribution | Email service, approved promotion or outreach support. | Attribute cost to a channel and outcome. |
| Paid traffic | Clicks, creatives, landing tests and tracking. | Separate test budget, daily cap and hard loss limit. |
| Contingency | Replacement tool, broken integration or required correction. | Reserve cash rather than assuming every launch works. |
For paid traffic, increase spend only after tracking is reconciled, the program permits the method, enough actions are approved and contribution remains positive after reversals and controllable costs.
MINIMUM VIABLE MEASUREMENT
Use one metric for each broken checkpoint
| Stage | Core metric | Decision it supports |
|---|---|---|
| Reach | Qualified impressions or audience exposure | Can the chosen channel reach the intended people? |
| Acquisition | Visits or sessions by source, medium and campaign | Which distribution activity creates relevant visits? |
| Engagement | Useful action appropriate to the asset | Did the content help enough to continue the journey? |
| Affiliate handoff | Qualified outbound clicks and outbound CTR | Did the recommendation earn an informed next step? |
| Merchant conversion | Tracked actions ÷ qualified outbound clicks | Does the offer and merchant path convert this traffic? |
| Validation | Approved actions and approval rate | Are referrals eligible and commercially valuable? |
| Economics | Approved EPC, contribution and time-to-cash | Should the placement continue, change or scale? |
GA4 can classify sessions by traffic source, while tagged campaigns populate manual campaign dimensions. Search Console separately reports Google Search impressions, clicks, CTR and average position. These systems use different scopes and will not always reconcile exactly with affiliate-network records.
- Define each metric, denominator, source, owner and reporting delay before launch.
- Use consistent UTM naming for external campaigns and permitted sub-IDs for affiliate placements.
- Test one real journey without completing a prohibited self-referral.
- Keep pending, approved, reversed and paid value separate.
- Record data gaps instead of silently treating missing events as zero.
THE 90-DAY SEQUENCE
Build, observe, improve and decide in four phases
- Days 1–7: establish the operating baseline
Finalize the strategy statement, exclusions, channel score, offer roles, compliance gate, funnel map, metric definitions, budget and loss limits. Test analytics, outbound events and permitted affiliate tracking.
- Days 8–30: publish the minimum useful system
Create one foundational guide, one decision-stage comparison or review and one implementation asset. Build internal pathways and distribute each through the single chosen channel.
- Days 31–60: diagnose the first constraint
Compare asset and channel cohorts. Improve only the weakest supported checkpoint — reach, click relevance, merchant conversion, approval or production sustainability.
- Days 61–90: confirm or reject the thesis
Repeat what has credible evidence, update weak content, test the strongest alternative and prepare a decision memo. Do not expand to new niches or channels to hide weak results.
A complex product test may justify fewer, stronger assets. Google recommends people-first, original and trustworthy content rather than mass-producing many topics to attract search visits.
WEEKLY OPERATING CADENCE
Protect production and learning as separate work
| Block | Purpose | Deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| Research | Audience questions, source review, product access and claim evidence. | Approved brief and evidence pack. |
| Production | Create the primary asset without switching channels mid-session. | Complete draft with original value. |
| Quality and compliance | Edit usefulness, facts, mobile readability, disclosures, links and tracking. | Release checklist and publishable version. |
| Distribution | Adapt and publish through the chosen primary and supporting channel. | Campaign identifiers and distribution log. |
| Measurement | Review mature-enough data and operational exceptions. | One diagnosis and one next action. |
| Maintenance | Fix broken links, changed terms, prices, claims and older priority pages. | Change log and next review dates. |
Batch similar work where it lowers setup cost, but keep a publication limit. A backlog is not progress until a useful, reviewed asset reaches the intended audience.
CONTROLLED LEARNING
Test one material assumption at a time
| Weak checkpoint | Example experiment | Guardrail |
|---|---|---|
| Low qualified reach | Refine one query cluster or distribution format around a better-defined problem. | Do not broaden beyond the validated audience merely to inflate impressions. |
| Reach but low visit rate | Improve title, promise or creative to match the real decision. | No exaggerated outcome or false urgency. |
| Engagement but low outbound clicks | Clarify who the offer is for, evidence, alternative and next step. | Do not hide limitations or manufacture CTA pressure. |
| Clicks but weak conversion | Test a better-fit landing page or approved alternative offer. | Preserve message match and program permission. |
| Conversions but poor approval | Audit audience eligibility, promise, traffic source and payable event. | Never optimize toward invalid or low-quality actions. |
| Positive economics but unsustainable work | Simplify the format or reuse evidence across connected assets. | Do not remove fact-checking, disclosure or reader value. |
SOLO-PUBLISHER EXAMPLE
Eight weekly hours require a narrow plan
| Choice | Example decision | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Audience | English-speaking first-time service-business owners choosing hosting. | Specific recurring decision with setup questions after purchase. |
| Primary channel | Website and organic search. | Detailed comparisons and tutorials can remain updateable and reusable. |
| Offer roles | One approved host, one different-use-case alternative and one non-affiliate option. | Limits maintenance and protects editorial choice. |
| Monthly production | Two evidence-heavy guides plus two smaller implementation updates. | Fits research, editing, publishing and maintenance inside capacity. |
| Budget | €200 maximum for product access and essential tools; no paid traffic. | Tests content and offer fit without cash-cycle exposure. |
| Primary outcome | Qualified clicks and approved sales segmented by decision page. | Connects useful content to validated commercial value. |
| Stop rule | Pause expansion if terms prohibit the channel, tracking fails or product evidence no longer supports the recommendation. | Protects readers and prevents sunk-cost escalation. |
This is a planning illustration, not a revenue forecast. Output and budget must be recalculated from the publisher's real capacity and product-access needs.
CONTINUE, REFINE OR STOP
Decide from evidence quality, not attachment to the idea
Continue
The audience problem remains valid, production is sustainable, qualified engagement grows and the offer path produces credible approved value.
Refine
The thesis is intact but one identifiable checkpoint, asset type, use case or offer is weak and can be tested without expanding scope.
Stop
A fatal compliance or product issue appears, audience demand is unsupported, the channel is inaccessible, economics remain structurally negative or work is unsustainable.
- Do not judge organic search solely from early rankings; inspect indexing, relevant impressions, query fit and content quality over a realistic period.
- Do not declare success from clicks if referrals do not become approved value.
- Do not declare failure from zero sales when tracking, link routing or offer approval was never verified.
- Do not add a second channel until the first has a defined process, useful assets and a diagnosed constraint.
- Write the decision, evidence, uncertainty and next commitment in a one-page memo at day 90.
FINAL PLAN TEMPLATE
Your 90-day plan should fit on one operating page
- Strategy
Audience, decision, value proposition, primary channel, offer roles and measured outcome.
- Exclusions
Audiences, topics, channels, claims, offers and activities deliberately outside this cycle.
- Assets
Minimum useful journey, production standard, owner, planned sequence and update dates.
- Measurement
Funnel events, definitions, tools, campaign naming, sub-IDs, reporting delays and reconciliation process.
- Resources
Weekly hours, responsibilities, fixed budget, test budget, contingency and cash-cycle reserve.
- Milestones
Day 7 baseline, day 30 useful system, day 60 diagnosed constraint and day 90 decision memo.
- Guardrails
Compliance gates, loss limit, concentration limits, fatal risks and immediate stop triggers.
You are ready for Module 09 when another person can read your one-page plan and identify exactly who you serve, what you will publish, where it will be distributed, which offers have which roles, what success means, what you will spend and what would make you stop.
APPLY AND REVIEW
Design a first operating cycle
Assignment
Choose one audience, one initial channel and a small set of work you can complete with the available time. Connect each activity to a question you need to answer rather than filling a calendar with output targets.
Worked example
Publishing more articles is not a useful response to every disappointing result. If readers cannot understand the offer, the next task may be to improve the explanation and retest that journey. Write the decision the next activity is intended to support.
Completion criteria
Submit the scope, capacity limit, first deliverables, observation plan and review date. Keep continuation conditional on evidence rather than assuming the calendar guarantees income.
